Microsoft have announced some numbers of their own after the holiday sales have been tallied up. Xbox 360 has now sold in excess of 39 million worldwide since its launch in November 2005.
Microsoft also noted that they have 20 million people on Xbox Live with nearly 10 million having logged into the non-gaming applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm and so on. Other impressive numbers include 500 million games sold on the platform and $20 billion spent in retail.
