Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that PlayStation 4 will be getting some more announcements during Tokyo Game Show next month. Speaking with Famitsu (and translated by Gematsu), Yoshida confirmed that Gamescom was seen by the platform holder as a key opportunity to reveal new first and third-party games.
"This time, the theme was to introduce first-party games, as well as a number of third-party games," Yoshida said. "But to be honest, in selecting the games we wanted to introduce, we realized it wasn't possible to fit everything into the frame of the conference, so unfortunately there were some games we couldn't introduce this time."
When the site asked Yoshida whether PS4-related announcements at TGS should be a key point, the man from Sony said: "We consider it a very important point."
So, more news coming from Sony next month, which will surely be music to the ears of PS4-owning gamers, especially those who enjoy games made by studios based in Sony's home territory.
