We're going to resist the urge to make pâté puns, and report the simple facts, and that's the news that Relic and Sega just confirmed a new standalone expansion for their WWII real-time strategy game, Company of Heroes 2.

Ardennes Assault is inspired by the Battle of the Bulge, and players will move away from the Eastern Front and take control of the US Forces in 18 single-player missions set in the Ardennes region of western Europe. Players will assume control over three distinct Companies, each with different strengths, upgrades, limited troops, and experience carrying over between missions.

"We can't wait to bring our players this awesome new single-player campaign for Company of Heroes 2. We managed to include more missions in this expansion than we had in the original release and it's packed full of great new features which we'll be revealing over the coming months," said executive producer Greg Wilson of the expansion that'll be available to download on November 18.
