The good numbers from Nintendo keep coming in and it would seem they enjoyed a very merry Christmas in Europe as well as previously noted from North America. The Wii reached 20 million units sold and the Nintendo DS passed 40 million with the Christmas sales tallied up. Both consoles reached the respective milestones than any other previous consoles. Meanwhile more than 5 million copies of Wii Sports Resort have been shifted in Europe since its release this summer and New Super Mario Bros. has already sold over 2.5 million copies in just over a month. Another interesting item of note is that the combined sales of Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus in Europe have reached 9.6 million, meaning that almost half of the European Wii owners are getting into shape.
