The first day of TGS is over and done with and the Gamereactor crew of myself, Emil and Tuuli (from Gamereactor Finland) are back at the hotel loading up with sugar and ice cream after what must be described as the worst party I have ever been to. When Microsoft throws something called an "International Press Party" one would think it would be slightly more International than an hour long presentation of the Japanese XNA Game Creator's Club Contest winners in Japanese. As the party started I saw Peter Molyneux in attendance... he stayed for about 15 minutes. The Bionic Commando crew hung in a bit longer. It's one thing with pointless parties - been there, done that, got 100 free t-shirts, but when there is no food, and nothing to drink... and I haven't eaten for 10 hours I get a bit cranky...
But there was plenty of other things to keep me happy at Makuhari Messe. No More Heroes 2 was announced, more stuff on Halo Recon, I played some of the new Dead Rising on Wii - if you thought Dead Rising on Xbox 360 was over the top - you ain't seen nothing yet. Zombie poodles! It was a bit hard to get to grips with the controls though...
Tomorrow I'm going to see Bungie and ask them all about the next chapter in the Halo saga... should be good, and we'll try and upload it as soon as we get back to our hotel. We also have appointments with Square Enix and Sega.
