Activision and Blizzard has announced that the number of World of Warcraft subscribers is down to 6.8 million users. That's almost half of the peak number of over 12 million user a few years ago. Despite the decline, it's still mighty impressive numbers for this almost ten year old title and it continues to be the by far most popular online role playing game. The decline was mainly in Asian markets. It will be interesting to see if Warlords of Draenor can turn things around.
