The excitement for Destiny has been steadily building following the success of the beta, and some people are capitalising on the buzz surrounding the game by listing their pre-order special editions of the game on eBay, in some cases for upwards of $500.
The Ghost Edition, which includes DLC content and a replica model of the titular Ghost (amongst other things), has sold out at retailers, and some gamers are taking advantage of demand by inflating the price and selling their games for ludicrous prices (one gamer posted on NeoGaf that they'd sold their copy for a staggering $1,025.00).
Bungie recently confirmed that the Destiny beta was a huge success, with more than 4.5 million players getting in on the action. The shared-world shooter is heading to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 on September 9.
