YouTube personality PewDiePie has just got his very own iOS app, thanks to the folks over at Maker Studios. The new app, which will allow direct access to the broadcaster's content on YouTube, will also allow users to create their own custom feeds and share clips on social sites.

A report on the Guardian rightly suggests that the new app would offer more independence away from YouTube, and given that mobile represents 40% of YouTube's global watch time, it certainly seems like a smart move for all concerned.

In recent news, it has been reported that PewDiePie made a stunning £2.48 million last year alone, via sponsorship and ad programs. Then again, with around 30 million subscribers, that kind of success is hardly a surprise.

The app is available now (head this way to grab the download) and it's free.
