After a time of turmoil it would seem the dust has settled around Crytek. As the company continues to transition to a free-to-play focused model they have decided to sell of the Homefront IP to Koch Media (Deep Silver) and intends to shift the talent at Crytek UK to the same publisher. Apparently the name of the new studio will be Deep Silver Dambuster Studios. The details of the deal have yet to be ironed out, but at least it looks like the people who remain at Crytek UK will get their wages soon.

The news isn't as good for Crytek USA who were working on Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age. Earlier this month it was reported that some of the key talent (including Vigil founder David Adams) had left. Crytek now only intends to retain a CryEngine support team at Crytek USA in Austin, while development of Hunt shifts to the Frankfurt studio.

Remains to be seen if this is enough to turn things around for the company as they've yet to strike gold in the free-to-play space. Work on the CryEngine, Warface, Arena of Fate and Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age continues (albeit in a different location for Hunt).
