Long running free-to-play MMORPG RuneScape from British developers Jagex has added a new starting zone to help new players get into the experience better. Dubbed the Troll War Zone, and thus it gives us... lots of trolls.
Some of these screens are taken from the latest trailers, while others are in-game captures. Another perk for new players is the 14-day membership trial Jagex are offering where non-paying customers can get a taste for the benefits of the premium subscription.
Commenting on the complimentary trial, Mark Ogilvie, RuneScape's Lead Designer stated: "What better way to celebrate RuneScape's awesome new opening experience than to invite everyone to try out the latest features with a trial of the member's game. So why not create a free account, join RuneScape, and begin your adventure today."
Runescape has a very long history as the first version of the game launched (beta) in 2001. The game is recognised by Guinness Book of World Records as the most popular free-to-play MMO in the world. Jagex are currently working on a Transformers MMO with license holders Hasbro.
