As far as Gamreactor knows the role of Nathan Drake himself has not yet been cast, but director Seth Gordon is still dead set on starting the filming of the Uncharted movie early next year.
This however, does not mean that the movie, which takes its inspiration mainly from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - the first game in the series, will find its way to the cinemas of the world any time soon. In fact, the premiere curtain isn't expected to fall before the 10th of June not next year, but the year after.
The date was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, who also notes that the Uncharted movie will take the place of The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which was planned released on that very same date. The third chapter of the new Spider-Man trilogy is now scheduled to appear during the summer of 2018.
