Publishing giant Electronic Arts has moved to quickly quieten rumours that they are about to layoff between 500 and 1000 employees.
It was revealed in an unsubstantiated report by website Startup Grind that the company was reeling from money lost on Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
EA has since spoken to MCV to clarify the situation: "There are no lay-offs as such, we always have projects growing and morphing. At any given time there are new people coming in and others leaving. EA is growing and hiring and building teams to support the growing demand for digital games and services."
