According to NDP Group's monthly report on physical sales (via GameSpot), PlayStation 4 was the top-selling console in the US during June 2014.

Even if Microsoft's Xbox One has increased (doubled!) its sales, after the new Kinect-less version was released on June 9, Sony's system is confirmed as the best selling console in United States, according to a Sony press release. It makes it the sixth straight month will PS4 leading Xbox One in US new-gen sales.

In the same report, NPD Group announced the ten best-selling games in June at retail in the US, where Watch Dogs was the top seller combining all five of its platforms, while Mario Kart 8 was number one looking at individual platforms.

Overall retail sales for June were up 24% on last year with hardware sales more than doubling. Wii U sales increased by a whopping 233% year-on-year, from a low level but clearly Mario Kart 8 is working its magic on Wii U sales.
