Ubisoft has hired Michael "Frosti" Zernow to take the advisory role of "chief parkour officer", overseeing the free-running/parkour side of the next Assassin's Creed game.

"I've been a long-time fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise," Zernow said. "It's one of the few highly visible examples of parkour that attracts younger athletes to the sport every year."

"Ubisoft's new Chief Parkour Officer will serve in a strategic advisory role, ensuring an ongoing commitment to the authenticity and accuracy of parkour beginning with the October 28 launch of Assassin's Creed: Unity, the next installment of the 76 million unit-selling Assassin's Creed franchise," Ubisoft added (via MCV).

Zernow, who is involved with free-running team Tempest, has worked on parkour motion capture for other games in the past. The latest game in the series - Assassin's Creed: Unity - is heading to PC and new-gen platforms this October, and no doubt Zernow's contribution will also feed into the other Assassin's games in development at Ubisoft.
