Gamespot has learnt that the U.S. military (and in turn the U.S. taxpayers) have spent $32.8 million on the free-to-play recruitment game America's Army over the course of ten years. Initially meant as a five year project with a budget of $7 million, America's Army has grown to cost substantially more.
The latest version of the game is called America's Army 3 and there has also been a couple of console ports from Ubisoft. Still regardless of that $33 million is a lot to spend on a free-to-play shooter.
