EA have announced that FIFA 10 has sold in excess of 4.5 million copies worldwide. This is a 26 per cent increase over last year's numbers for the same period (eight weeks in Europe and five weeks in North America) and EA also claims to have secured the fastest selling sports game in the world with 1.7 million copies sold in Europe during the first week of sales.
EA also announced that the Ultimate Team expansion of FIFA 10 will be introduced as DLC early in February for $4.99 / 400 points.
