The full extent of PwC's cost-cutting measures has been revealed, as the company looks to turn around the fortunes of the ailing GAME business.
A total of 277 of the companies 609 UK-based GAME and Gamestation stores have been shut down today, with an estimated 2,104 staff losing their jobs. The number of job losses (as reported by MCV) equates to roughly 40% of the companies total workforce.
The GAME Group will be hoping that the drastic measures taken today will give them some breathing room as they seek out an investor, but with nothing concrete in the works, it is entirely possible that many more stores will shut, resulting in the loss of even more jobs.
