Sony as a company released its quarterly report yesterday. The report also highlighted sales figures for the PlayStation 3 which has now sold over 27 million units. Which is relatively low when compared to Microsoft which has sold 34 million Xbox 360 units and Nintendo which has sold 57 million Wii.
Sony also reported a loss for its department Network Product and Services, where the PlayStation project is part of. In three months it lost $654 million (just over 4.5 billion SEK) and the PlayStation 3 is now the console that has recorded the most losses ever, an unwelcome title they inherit from the last Xbox console.
