Open-world racing MMO The Crew officially launches today. Since yesterday, around noon, the servers have been online, but there have been constant problems since then.

Sometimes we've had to wait for long periods of time before online matches start, in particular when wanting to play co-op missions - at least with the Xbox One version we've been testing.

In addition to this there were game crashes and strange visual bugs, such as superimposed cars, or starting races with completely destroyed vehicles.

The version that we've played has already been updated with the 200MB Day 1 patch, and there's nowhere near as many players online right now as there will be later today and tonight.

We'll continue to see how The Crew performs this morning, however it already took us several attempts and half an hour of waiting before the game even launched for the first time today. Then it took several minutes for the story missions to appear on the map...

We're currently playing the racing MMO for our review after Ubisoft sent us the game yesterday. The reason behind this late send out can be found here.
