Xbox product marketing manager Jim McMullin talked with us at this year's E3 about a variety of topics, including the games coming to Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program.
"For me it's not necessarily about one single title," he told us, "it's about being able to unlock the creative juices of everybody; the innovators, the developers. And also, showcasing those kind of things back in, we don't necessarily have to just wait for these blockbuster games like Sunset Overdrive, which is fantastic, but we're going to be offering a suite of games all the time."
Later he added: "We think the ID@Xbox program will develop everything from the tiny indies to the mid-range big games, and I think it's going to be great seeing the regional relevance of those. Size is not necessarily the issue, it's the quality of the game. I think when people look at the stuff we have on offer... they're going to be really excited."
With titles like Super Time Force already releasing on the platform, and with plenty more on the way, Microsoft's decision to really push the envelope when it comes to indie games seems to be paying dividends.
