While we're waiting for some good news from Nintendo's 74th Annual General Meeting - even if a shareholder Tweeted good numbers for Mario Kart 8, which sold 2 million copies - it has been announced that Satoru Iwata and eight top executives (Genyo Takeda, Shigeru Miyamoto, Tatsumi Kimishima, Shigeyuki Takahashi, Satoshi Yamato, Susumu Tanaka, Shinya Takahashi and Hirokazu Shinshi) have been re-elected, while one candidate, Naoki Mizutani, was elected.
Unfortunately, Nintendo's boss missed that event because of a recent surgery - a growth was found in his bile duct - an illness that also saw him miss out on E3 this year. He hasn't fully recovered yet and still needs more time before resuming his regular work schedule.
