There were plenty of things that people didn't like about Microsoft's plans for Xbox One when they first announced the console last year. Family Sharing was not one of them, with many gamers excited at the prospect of sharing their library with others.

Well, it seems that Microsoft hasn't forgotten about the idea, and the company is still looking to introduce the concept to the Xbox One platform.

"We looked at the digital features that we had talked about last year and as a gamer there were a lot of those features that I think really resonated and were smart features for people who really have a lot of games and maybe play on a couple consoles or have bunch of people in the house or want to share with friends," Xbox boss Phil Spencer said to GamerTagRadio (and via Polygon).

"As I look at our monthly update roadmap, those kind of features are in our roadmap. There is a little bit of a challenge now that you've got DRM on a disc."

Family Sharing was one of the casualties when Microsoft pulled their now infamous 180 on DRM and always-on functionality. The question remains as to whether the introduction of this popular feature will be enough to attract more people to the platform.
