For what we presume has been most of his life, Michael Thommason has collected video games of all sorts, and after years of hard work he was pronounced the owner of the world's largest games collection. Then he decided to sell it all.
Naturally, the price one would have to pay for such a vast assortment of games is rather steap, and the final bid on auction site Gamegavel landed on a whopping $750,250.
The new owner of the collection, which includes hundereds of games for literally every system made, is not yet known, but as part of the deal he will receive the Guinness Book of World Records certificate for "The World's Largest Video Game Collection". Admittedly, buying them all at once is a far less impressive feat than Tommasson's years of collecting.
