Faltering retailer GAME is in desperate trouble, after stock in the company dropped to an all-time low of less than 1p per share.

Shares had, up until recently, been hanging around the 5p mark; not great numbers, but not catastrophic either. On Friday evening the shop closed with a troubling share price of 3.51p. Monday morning saw the company's value crash even further, with it opening at 1.75p and then dropping to less than 1p per share almost straight away.

Despite a fire sale this weekend, in which much of GAME's catalogue of second-hand stock was knocked-down in price, the share price currently stands at 0.5p, and all-time low for the company. As little as four years ago shares in GAME were almost £3.00 each.

These figures, revealed by MCV, highlight the desperate situation the retailer now finds itself in. Staff will be hoping that some sort of deal can be struck with another retailer (such as GameStop), otherwise it is likely that the whole company will drop into administration in the very near future.
