The life cycles of the Xbox 360 and PS3 were certainly quite long, but AMD - the component manufacturer who supplied parts for both Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U - reckons that won't be the case with their current-gen counterparts.
"The life cycle of the products are probably going to be shorter," AMD's Devinder Kumar said during a recent Q&A session (and as reported by Examiner). "Our customers are already thinking about what comes next."
If Kumar's claims are correct, that could mean that Xbox Two and PlayStation 5 (or whatever they end up being called) might be with us sooner than expected.
