It has been reported that following GAME's decision not to stock EA titles such as Mass Effect 3 in the coming weeks, the company's share price has dropped as much as 20%. According to a report in The Guardian, this leaves the value of their stock at just over 5p per share.
The implications may be even more severe, with customer confidence undoubtedly shaken by the retailers inability to stock some of March's biggest titles.
In a further development, MCV has speculated that American retail giant GameStop is interested in buying up GAME's UK based operation. According to the report, a stumbling block remains in the form of GAME's Australian chain, a part of the business that doesn't interest the US based retailer. At this time GameStop has declined to comment.
