Sony's Eric Lempel has told Destructoid that just because the games for PSP Go will be downloaded to the machine they won't be any cheaper than if you had bought them in a store and that the company is looking to keep a comparable price. Makes sense, doesn't it? After all, a game you downloaded carries the same costs for the publisher as it does when they have to print booklets and buy covers and ship...hey, no. Hang on, that doesn't make sense.
Microsoft applied the same price philosophy when they launched their Games on Demand service on Xbox Live and it didn't make any more sense back then (and still doesn't). It's quite hard to imagine a future with only downloadable games when the console manufacturers think they can charge as much for an immaterial game as a boxed version.
