WWE WrestleFest comes to iOS
THQ has today announced that WWE WrestleFest, "a faithfully recreated 2-D experience for iPhone and iPad based on the well-known WWE arcade game made popular in the 1990s", is now available in the App Store (£1.99 on iPhone and £2.49 for iPad).
The game comes with what is described as: "A notable roster of current WWE Superstars and popular WWE Legends, including John Cena, The Rock, Randy Orton, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Undertaker, Jake "The Snake" Roberts™ and "Macho Man" Randy Savage."
Danny Bilson from THQ said: "WWE WrestleFest greatly complements our WWE videogames portfolio by delivering a unique and captivating way for fans to connect with the virtual WWE experience. The game's arcade-style play, combined with present day WWE content and hints of nostalgia, is a perfect fit for handheld platforms like the iPhone and iPad."
Fans of the original game that don't own an Apple device needn't worry; THQ are working on versions for Xbox Live, PSN, PC and Android, all due out some time this year.
