According to a report from Japanese magazine Impress Watch (as translated by Andria Sang), struggling publisher THQ is about to close down THQ Japan.
Staff will be leaving on February 29, a day that will mark the end of THQ's publishing interests in that part of the world.
This is yet another worrying development for the publisher, which has been finding the current climate very tricky after poor sales of the uDraw tablet. The company also recently shut down their licensed children's games business resulting in 240 job losses. They are also being threatened with being delisted from the NASDAQ stock exchange if they can't improve the value of their stock.
