Lamborghini spent three years restoring one of their own cars

This is the 972 Miura SV and it was restored in a colour Lamborghini had to rebuild from archival data.

While they're pushing the boundaries for automotive design and performance, Lamborghini is not seemingly forgetting about their roots. That can be easily proven by their commitment to their own heritage.

Unveiled at the Anantara Concorso Roma (and through their website, Lamborghini has unveiled a three-year restoration of a 1972 Miura SV.

The work was handled by Lamborghini's Polo Storico division, the brand's official heritage department, which specialises in bringing classic models back to factory-correct condition.

The car arrived in a non-original state, meaning the team had to go through historical records to verify exactly how it was originally made. Every bodywork element had to be examined, and the unveiling happened in front of a stunned crowd, affirming that the Miura is one of the best looking cars ever made.
