Real Madrid may no longer have options of winning LaLiga, but they still have to finish the season as best as they can... and will have to do it without two of the best players: Arda Güler, who had improved notably his level in the last few weeks, and Éder Militão, who had just recently recovered from an injury... only to get injured again. This time, for the remaining of the season.
One day before a Liga match against Betis, Real Madrid has informed that both players have suffered injuries, both the same type: Militao was diagnosed with muscle injury in the biceps femoris of his left leg, while Guler suffers a muscle injury in the biceps femoris of his right leg. Not too serious injuries, but enough to prematurely end their seasons with the club.
Both, however, were expecting to be called for Turkey and Brazil for the World Cup, which starts in June 11, but coaches will make their final lists by the end of May. Depending on the evolution, they should recover in time for World Cup, but it will be very difficult that they will play for Madrid again this season... with Militao being rumoured to be put in the market, due to his inconsistency with injuries.
In the meantime, Real Madrid fans are entertained by the tense situation between coach Álvaro Arbeloa and his former teammate Dani Carvajal.
