Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream receives its first patch on Nintendo Switch consoles

Don't worry, they're just minor fixes. No one's going to take away the current madness on your island.

It's curious how Nintendo manages to handle two game series as similar in their initial premise as Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life, but if you've had the chance to try both life simulation experiences, you'll quickly realise they're aimed at two very different target audiences. Whilst Animal Crossing: New Horizons focuses more on the laid-back aspect of gradually decorating an entire island with a few neighbours here and there, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream focuses more on building relationships between its many Mii characters, which you can also create yourself. This is obviously leading to some very chaotic and amusing situations that are giving Nintendo's new release a real boost, but like any work, it is not without its flaws.

Some of these have now been fixed thanks to a first patch. Update 1.0.1 has not provided specific details on the changes, apart from a brief message stating that 'several issues' have been resolved. It's not that many obvious problems have been reported on social media, and our colleague who wrote the review hasn't reported any bugs in his playthrough either, but it's possible that if you've encountered something, it's now been fixed.
