In the TV series Community, the character Abed declared that the show he believed he was part of would run for "six seasons and a movie." And since Abed is something of a genius, it looks like he's going to get his wish. The TV series did indeed run for six seasons, and a movie is on the way.
That said, we haven't heard anything about it in a long time, and it's been constantly delayed, even though all the main actors have confirmed they'll be returning. But now, the one who's probably the busiest of them all (possibly in competition with Alison Brie), Donald Glover, says via Entertainment Tonight that things are finally moving forward:
"We're working on it right now. I know everybody's been saying that for forever, but I swear to you, I'm not lying about this. I really think that something is gonna happen soon."
Glover also says that the group talks frequently and notes that there's a lot of communication about the project right now. And with that said... we'll just have to keep waiting. If you want to see (or rather hear) more from Glover, he plays Yoshi in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which just hit theatres.
