A 127-113 victory by Los Angeles Lakers over Cleveland Cavaliers, the 13th victory from the last 14 matches for the Lakers (50-26) served to secure a play-off spot, as well as the Pacific Division title, disputed between Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns (won earlier in the night when the Suns lost).
Luka Doncic scored 42 points, returning from his one-match suspension due to technical fouls, and LeBron James, who added 14 points, broke another NBA record with his 1,229th career win. James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most combined regular season (1,045) and playoff (184) wins. Abdul Jabbar, however, has the record for most regular season wins, 1,074, a record that James will surpass... if he plays next season, which is still not sure.
Only one week ago, James broke another record, his 1,612nd regular-season match in NBA that made him the player with most matches in history (he has now played 1,617 games, and will be in play-offs after the regular season ends on April 13).
