Iraq has been the last country to qualify for FIFA World Cup, the first time in 40 years and second time ever they reach World Cup. Aymen Hussein was the creator of the second half goal that sent the Middle East country to a World Cup in which Iran is also expected to appear, or at least that's what FIFA is saying.

Iraq coach Graham Arnold, from Australia, said that he was "so happy that we've made 46 million people happy and especially with what's going on in the Middle East at the moment". Iraq will play against France, Senegal and Norway and is scheduled to play in the US.

Earlier, in the other match of the Inter-Confederation play-offs, the Democratic Republic of Congo defeated Jamaica, the first time DR Congo qualifies for World Cup in 52 years, in 1974, their only other participation, although they didn't win any matches there in the group stage. Jamaica will play against Portugal, Colombia and Uzbekistan in the group stage.

Iraq and DR Congo join the other four countries that qualified in the European play-offs: Sweden, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Czechia.
