Real Madrid lost a second game in a row in LaLiga, a 1-0 defeat to Getafe at the Bernabéu, in a match that had a big controversy in a foul by Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger over Getafe's Diego Rico, in the 26th minute.

Referee and VAR did not intervene in the action, which was protested by the player and Getafe's staff. The referee considered the knee as an accidental collision, and that the Rüdiger did not not intend to hit the rival player, although looking at the slow motion replay, many are questioning if Rüdiger did intentionally aim his knee to impact into Getafe's player, comparing the action to previous fouls by the German defender.
Real Madrid did eventually lost the match 1-0, dropping four points behind Barcelona in LaLiga, and Franco Mastantuono was sent off in the 95th minute after insulting the referee.
