Apple has revealed the iPhone 17e, a more budget friendly option for anyone looking to get their hands on the newest generation of iPhone.
Amongst the many good news are a more scratch resistant ceramic coating for the display, promising three times the resistance of the 16e. The display is a 6.1" Super Retina XDR, with a new antireflective coating, giving you HDR10, 1200 nits peak and a 1170x2532 pixel resolution.
Besides an "action button" on the side that can be used in multiple ways and set up for different actions, the 17e use of the new A19 chip with an integrated C1x modem that promises twice the speed of the 16e and the C1 modem housed inside of it. USB-C charging gives you a 50% charge in 30 minutes, and even the smallest version still has 256GB of storage. The MagSafe provides 15 Watts of wireless charging, almost double of the 16e, and you now get e-sim as well.
The camera is 48MP hybrid that features a 2x telephoto lens, while the normal main camera mode provides 4K/60FPS video, and has all of the AI enhancement and editing features you would expect of a modern mobile phone. The 8GB/256GB NVMe storage version is 700 Euro, while the 512GB version is 949 Euro. The 4005 mAh battery is rated for 26 hours of continued usage, and weighs just 169 grams.
