President Donald Trump said on Monday that the war with Iran could last "four to five weeks," defending the launch of Operation Epic Fury as a necessary move to eliminate what he called grave threats to the United States. Speaking during a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House, Trump described the strikes as America's "last best chance" to confront the Iranian regime.
Trump said Iran posed an imminent danger and outlined four objectives: destroying its missile capabilities, dismantling its navy, preventing it from obtaining a nuclear weapon and cutting off support for proxy groups across the Middle East. Some experts, however, argue Tehran remains years away from developing missiles capable of reaching the United States.
