China says US gave no warning before attacking Iran

Beijing calls for an immediate halt to hostilities and condemns the killing of Khamenei.

China's Foreign Ministry has said it was not informed in advance of the US-led attacks on Iran, calling for an immediate end to military operations. Spokeswoman Mao Ning expressed "deep concern" that the conflict has affected other countries in the region.

Mao reported that one Chinese national wounded in the Tehran attack has died and that over 3,000 people have been evacuated from Iran. She also strongly condemned the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, saying China "strongly deplores" the action.

The attacks come amid sensitive China-US relations, including a one-year trade truce negotiated by US President Donald Trump and China's Xi Jinping. According to Bloomberg, Mao did not provide updates on Trump's upcoming visit to Beijing...
