Last year, at Unreal Fest, CD Projekt Red showed off a first look at The Witcher 4. Initially, fans thought this was gameplay we were seeing of Ciri riding through Kovir, starting a quest and venturing through foot in a small town. However, it was confirmed to be a tech demo created to show what the game can look like with the power of UE5.
In a new AnsweRED podcast, developers at CD Projekt Red confirmed we'll see more of The Witcher IV this year, again at Unreal Fest, which runs from the 16th of June to the 18th. Here's hoping we don't just see another pre-rendered tech demo, as if the game is going to release anytime soon we'd really hope to get a glimpse at what it might actually look like on a PC, PS5, or Xbox Series console.

In the same podcast, as caught by Polish outlet PPE.pl, CD Projekt Red confirmed some new features for protagonist Ciri in The Witcher 4. She can dive deep underwater in the game, as well as cast spells while running and moving. Moreover, there's a dedicated jump button in the game, and with this being highlighted we can probably expect more verticality in the movement. It's clear Ciri will be a lot more agile than Geralt, but perhaps there's a trade off there we've yet to see.
