BYD originally planned to release more models internationally, including their more luxurious Denza sub-brand, but this rollout was delayed. However, it is now finally coming to more markets, and with a new model to draw attention.

The Denza Z9 GT was just unveiled, sporting a CLTC battery range of 1,000 kilometres. That's the Chinese range estimate, but with the stricter WLTP-standard, it's closer to 850 kilometres. Regardless, it's a massive push thanks to a 122.5 kWh battery, which gives the new model a 64% increase in estimated range.

Furthermore, the Denza Z9 GT is expected to undercut other EV estates in most western markets, which right now is dominated by the BMW i5 Touring, the Audi A6 Avant and the VW ID.7.

With the Denza Z9 GT, BYD will rollout Denza in more markets, however it's still unclear when this will happen precisely.
