Alexander Isak scored only his second goal at Premier League in a 1-2 victory over Tottenham, but suffered a serious injury when Spurs defender Micky van de Ven slid into the Swede. According to Sky Sports, the player is expected the results from the MRI scan, but they believe it will be a broken leg.
Isak managed to leave the Tottenham Hotspur field on his own foot, with help from Liverpool's medical staff, but it appears that his injury will prevent him from playing for weeks, possibly months. It comes after Isak missed five games between October and November with a groin injury.
Isak was Liverpool's biggest ever transfer, when he was signed for £125m from Newcastle; the move was also a record in English football and one of the most expensive transfers ever that, so far, has not produced the desired results, only scoring three goals in 16 appearanges for all competitions... and now injuries will seriously hamper Isak's first season with Liverpool.
