Staff at EA will be all smiles this morning as their newest IP, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, has marched straight to the top of the UKIE charts.
The RPG is the first new IP to take top spot since Dead Island last year, and it ends Final Fantasy XIII-2's brief reign as the best-selling game in the UK.
The Darkness II has also made a positive impact on the charts, coming in at third. The only other new entry is Catherine, in at twenty.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and FIFA 12 both retained their top five places.
