Update: Both McLaren cars, driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, have been disqualified from the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The reason given by the FIA is explained as such:
"This is because the thickness of the rearmost skid of both cars was less than the required thickness."
Due to this change, the points difference in the Driver's Championship has been reduced considerably, with Max Verstappen now level with Piastri on 366 points, and both drivers now simply 24 points behind Norris, who is on 390 points. There are two races left this season, with one additional sprint race, meaning the maximum haul of points one driver can finish with for the rest of the season is 58 points. Game on.

Max Verstappen's victory, better than Lando Norris (second) and Oscar Piastri (fourth), left the Dutch driver 42 points behind F1 leader Norris, with two races to go. However, that could be drastically reduced to 24 points behind Norris (and the same as Piastri) if Formula 1 stewards decide to disqualify McLaren.
The world of Formula 1 is holding its breath waiting for FIA's decision. Apparently, post-race inspections found that both McLaren drivers had a skid wear of less than 9mm, which is the minimum thickness required by the technical regulations. If they're found guilty (and some predecents means that's usually the case), they would both be disqualified for the race.
