Late on Friday evening, Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, was announced, created entirely with Unreal Engine 5. Although there had been rumours about the game for a while, many gamers cheered the news, especially as it was also confirmed that it would be released on PlayStation 5, as the first game in the series.
One company that clearly thought this was fun was Gamestop, which released a light-hearted press release explaining that the so-called console wars that started with the launch of Combat Evolved are now over. They signed off with "Power to the players".
This apparently reached the US government, which responded with an AI image depicting Trump in a Spartan suit, saluting in front of the White House.
