Seven spooky Alan Wake screens

Take a peek at the American Nightmare.

I cautiously enter the yard, swinging my torch from side to side. Nothing. I make my way across the open space, checking around me again. Nothing. I relax. Then, out of nowhere, there's a massive digger chasing after me. Cue running away and screaming like a baby.

Alan Wake, you certainly left an impression, even if you didn't quite live up to all the hype.

Whilst not a full sequel, Alan Wake's American Nightmare looks like it will offer a significant adventure for fans who enjoyed the first game.

Here's a selection of new screens, and they give a pretty good indication of what's in store for gamers when Alan Wake's American Nightmare hits Xbox Live later this month.
