It has been a difficult week, with the recent passing of legendary metal icon Ozzy Osbourne. Today, we received further sad news as the wrestling world lost the most famous wrestler of all-time.

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, has died at the age of 71. He became one of the most influential figures in professional wrestling during the 1980s and 90s and is considered to have been a huge contributor to the phenomenon spreading across the world. With his charismatic manner, characteristic blond hair, moustache, and iconic red and yellow clothes, he became synonymous with the golden age of WWE (formerly WWF).

Hulk made his global breakthrough with the motto "Say your prayers and eat your vitamins" and quickly became famous far beyond wrestling circles. He also had a film career (Rocky 3, Suburban Commando) and his own TV series (Thunder in Paradise, Hogan Knows Best). During his career, he won the WWE World Championship countless times and was also a central figure in the rival WCW federation in the 1990s, where he led the influential nWo (New World Order) faction.

Despite his career being marred by controversy in recent years, Hogan has remained a symbol of wrestling's heyday. He leaves behind his children Brooke and Nick, as well as a legacy that helped shape wrestling into the global powerhouse it is today, and the slogan "Hulkamania will live forever" will most likely prove to be true.

Thank you for all the entertainment, Hulk Hogan.

Yours truly to the left, the legend himself to the right.
