The latest news on Russia and Ukraine. In response to a Ukrainian drone offensive targeting key airbases (Operation Spider's Web), Russia has now claimed its strategic bombers were only superficially damaged and will be repaired.

The attack, part of Kyiv's ongoing pressure campaign, reportedly affected numerous long-range aircraft used in missile strikes. While US officials estimate considerable destruction, Russian authorities maintain that all affected planes will be restored.
