EA reported strong numbers for their third quarter (Oct-Dec), with sales of Battlefield 3, FIFA 12, and Star Wars: The Old Republic being the main contributors. Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 have both passed 10 million copies in sales.

Revenues increased by 15 percent compared to the same quarter last year while losses fell from $322 million to $205 million. The giant game publisher remains very healthy but boss John Riccitello raised concerns about the state of major European retailer GAME:

"We are concerned with the financial condition of one of our major European retail partners, which could lead to both increased bad debt and lost sales."

CFO Eric Brown had this to add: "We are focused on some isolated European retailer issues that have recently been announced. A negative outcome could adversely affect our Q4 results."

Meanwhile, EA announced that their Origin service is off to a great start. The platform has generated more than $100 million in revenue with 9.3 million registered users.

Another interesting note is that EA predict that they will take in a whopping $100 million in revenue from FIFA Ultimate Team in fiscal 2012.

Battlefield 3 helped grow EA revenues.
