Reports that retailer GAME is going to struggle to put new releases on their shelves in the coming weeks have been denied. Reports that staff have not been paid are also inaccurate.

GAME has since moved to deny rumours that they are not going be able to stock the latest titles this week. According to GAME: "Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Soul Calibur V... will all be available in stores and online".

It was revealed last month that GAME might struggle to meet their EBITDA covenants, with sales down 15% from the previous year.

GAME spokesperson Simon Soffe spoke to GamesIndustry.biz, stating: "We are continuing to work closely with our industry partners and have big plans for further exciting launches. Claims regarding colleagues not being paid are untrue: all colleagues who are paid monthly were paid yesterday (31 January)."
